Welcome to "Rhos Judokwai" webpage! Club No. 1554

Rhos Judokwai meets every Monday night at Mochdre Village Hall, Old Conway Road, Mochdre, North Wales, UK, and provides tuition in Judo for young people between the ages of 7 and 18. The club is affiliated to the Welsh Judo Association (WJA) which provides opportunities for members to take part in gradings (WJA Grading Form) and competitions and also provides insurance.

The evening session is split into two parts, an early session starting at 6.30pm for the 7 to 12 year olds and younger beginners, and a second session, between 7.45pm and 9.15pm, for the more experienced members and older beginners. The cost is £2.00 per session, although the first two lessons are free. However, for insurance purposes, prospective new members must have at least temporary (3 month) membership of the WJA (which costs £5 for Juniors, £7 for Seniors) (WJA Licence Form) before they step on the mat. Prospective members are welcome to come and watch a session or two with their parents prior to actually taking the plunge to get on the mat and join in.
